VIRTUAL Laboratory

What is it?

The IEQ Virtual Lab is a hub for digital tools, datasets, and databases that support the exploration and analysis of indoor environmental quality. It is designed for students, researchers, and practitioners, and this page aggregates links to related projects.

If you have a project that belongs here, please let us know.

The Indoor Environmental Quality (IEQ) guidelines database contains international and national standards and guidelines. It continuously collects and organise information about IEQ guidelines worldwide.

The rapid growth of smart building technologies is revolutionizing how we monitor and improve indoor air quality (IAQ). To support this transformation, the first open-source Global IAQ Database was built—a curated, standardized repository of IAQ data from decades of field measurements around the world.

The CBE Thermal Comfort Tool is a free online tool for thermal comfort calculations and visualizations that implements thermal comfort calculations from standards (ASHRAE 55–2023, ISO 7730:2005 and EN 16798–1:2022).
